Chord & Joy

Refund Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective October 15, 2026

Summary

Our books are digital downloads. Except where applicable law or Dodo Payments' Buyer Terms provide otherwise, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds once you have started downloading the book. Before your first download, we ask you to acknowledge this.

When we refund

In addition to any rights you have by law, we offer a refund when:

  • you have not started downloading the book, and you ask within 14 days of purchase;
  • the file is broken or will not open, and we cannot fix it or send a working file within 7 days of your report;
  • the book is materially different from its description on our website; or
  • you were charged twice for the same book by mistake.

Bundles

A bundle is sold as one product. Under our voluntary change-of-mind policy, we do not offer partial refunds for individual books in a bundle. A bundle is eligible for a change-of-mind refund within 14 days of purchase only if you have not started downloading any of its books. A full refund of the bundle ends the licenses and download access for all included books. This does not limit remedies required by applicable law or provided under Dodo Payments' Buyer Terms.

How to ask

Email support@chordandjoy.com with your order number (shown on your Dodo Payments receipt) and the reason. We reply within 3 business days. You can also contact Dodo Payments directly using the link on your receipt.

Please tell us if you have already disputed the payment with your bank, so we can avoid duplicate reimbursement.

How refunds are paid

Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record, processes all refunds to your original payment method. The time for the money to reach you depends on your bank or card provider. Dodo Payments may also decide refunds under its own Buyer Terms.

After a refund

A full refund of a book purchase ends the license and download access for that purchase. Refunding a duplicate charge does not affect a separate, valid purchase of the same book. See our Terms of Service.

Your legal rights

This policy does not affect any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country or state where you live.
