1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use chordandjoy.com or buy a digital book from us. The books are sold by Chordandjoy, a business registered in the Republic of Korea ("we", "us"). By buying or downloading a book, you agree to these terms.

You must have the legal capacity to make the purchase. Otherwise, a parent or legal guardian must purchase on your behalf.

2. Buying a book

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Dodo Payments, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Dodo Payments handles payment, billing, sales tax, and refunds, and its Buyer Terms apply to your purchase.

Prices are shown in US dollars. The final price, including any tax, is shown at checkout before you pay. Your order is complete once Dodo Payments confirms the payment.

We send purchase, download, support, and store-closure notices to your purchase email address. These are not marketing emails.

3. Your license

When you buy a book, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own study. You may:

• download the PDF and keep it on your own devices;
• print copies for your own personal use.

You may not:

• share, sell, rent, or give the PDF or printed copies to others;
• upload it to any website, shared drive, or file-sharing service;
• use it for group classes or commercial teaching without our written permission;
• use it to train or build machine-learning or AI systems;
• share your download links or try to bypass our access controls.

Free sample PDFs are provided for personal study and may not be redistributed.

4. Downloads

You can download your book right after purchase. The PDF has no DRM. Once downloaded, the file stays on your device and you can keep using it.

• After purchase, we email you a download link that works for 30 days. After that, you can request a new link on our website at any time by entering your purchase email. Each new link works for 7 days.
• Each link allows up to 10 downloads per book. This limit is shown before purchase and repeated in your delivery email. While we operate the store, you can request a new link for an eligible purchase, subject to our misuse safeguards.
• Before your first download of an order, we ask you to acknowledge that starting the download ends eligibility under our voluntary change-of-mind refund policy. This does not affect your rights concerning faulty or misdescribed files, or other rights under applicable law. See our Refund Policy.
• We offer re-downloads for as long as we operate this store.
• If we decide to close the store, we will email every buyer at least 30 days before closing, and again 7 days before. You can download your books again during that time.

5. Corrected versions

If we publish a corrected version of the same edition, you get it free. Downloading again gives you the latest version. A new edition may be sold separately.

6. Copyright

All books and site content are owned by Chordandjoy and protected by copyright. Buying a book gives you a license to use it as described above. It does not transfer ownership of the content.

7. Refunds

Refunds are explained in our Refund Policy. A full refund of a book purchase ends the license and download access for that purchase. Refunding a duplicate charge does not affect a separate, valid purchase of the same book.

8. Misuse

If we see signs that a download link is being shared or misused, such as an unusual number of downloads, we may pause that link. We will help you get a new one if you contact us.

9. Your statutory rights

We aim to provide books that match their descriptions. If you find a problem, please contact us. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory rights or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country or state where you live. Your payment and refund are also governed by the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page. Changes do not apply to orders you placed before the change, unless the change is in your favor.
